A Mediterranean-Inspired Styled Shoot at Villa Catalana Cellars
Use this blog for inspiration for your upcoming wedding. It features an elegant Oregon venue, linen welcome sign, custom watercolor invitation suite, a beautifully designed table scape, dessert table & sweetheart table. this day was full of charm with dainty lemons, blue tile details, venue pond and lush landscape.
Nestled in the lush hills of Oregon wine country, Villa Catalana Cellars transported us to the Mediterranean for a day of artistry, inspiration, and sun-soaked romance. With its old-world stone architecture, thriving gardens, and timeless charm, it was the perfect backdrop for a styled shoot rich in European textures and modern details.
The creative direction embraced the colors and textures of a summer afternoon in the Mediterranean—but through an Oregon lens. Blue-and-white tile details, lemon accents, and natural greenery created a fresh, romantic look that balanced elegance with warmth.
The tablescape featured soft linen runners, hand-lettered menus, gold flatware, and taper candles in shades of sand and olive. A mix of textures—ceramic, linen, stone, and watercolor—made the table feel layered and lived-in.
Paper Goods & Signs
As the stationery designer for this shoot, I wanted the paper details to feel like a natural extension of the space and story.
The invitation suite included watercolor lemons, tile-inspired patterns, and calligraphy touches that paired beautifully with the venue’s stone textures and lush foliage.
Each piece was designed to feel keepsake-worthy—personal, artful, and rooted in place.
I created a linen welcome sign that felt soft and organic—like something you'd find hanging in a breezy Italian villa.
Sweetheart Table + Dessert Display
A sweetheart table tucked beneath a climbing wall of greenery created an intimate, romantic moment for the imagined couple. Minimal, modern chairs and overflowing florals grounded the scene, while blue glassware brought in a subtle pop of color.
Nearby, the dessert table featured lemon tarts and delicate sweets styled on antique trays—proof that a few simple details, when chosen with care, can leave a lasting impression
Villa Catalana is unlike any other venue I’ve worked with. From the lush botanical gardens to the European architecture, it offers a truly transportive experience. Every corner is photographable. Every view feels like a story.
If you’re planning a wedding or editorial here, my advice is simple: let the setting lead the story. Choose details that feel collected, not curated. Let texture, tone, and intentional art bring your vision to life.
